The leisure time possibilities on Grenland folkehøgskole is wide in extent and will give most people an opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves. The school area with living rooms, kitchen building, computer-room, training facilities and sandvolley-hall is mainly open all day for you to use. The students are divided into two dormitorys, one large and one smaller. The dormitorys have 8 corridors with cosy living rooms connected to them. The living rooms is soon a gathering point for the students with activities as tablegames, card-playing, knitting or just seeing tv. On Grenland you can choose between singel- or doubleroom. Some likes to have their own room and other prefer the company of another person. It can be exciting, and sometimes challenging, to live with a complete stranger. The rooms are much the same with a bed, writing desk, wardrobe, sink and a mirror. In the kitchen-building is there, beside the kitchen and dining hall, a big living room and a smaller livingroom with open fireplace. It´s an excellent place to sit down and talk with somebody or play a game with some friends.
If you prefer one day to make your own food there is a kitchen on the campus for you to use on your own. Here you and your friends can make delicious food and eat them in nice surroundings.
In every dormitory there is washing machines and dryer at your disposial 24-hours.
In the training facilities you can practice different ball games, workout or dance. A wall for practicing climbing is also in this place. The school has two outside sandvolley courts and one sandvolley-hall with floor-heating.
When you want to relax or maybe work or check your mail the school has a computer-room with 8-10 macintosh computers with fast internet connection. There is also wireless internet connection available on the school campus.
You will experience that the school offer a broad range of activities well suited to satisfy most visitants.
